Acoustic Guitar Tutoring

Learning to play acoustic guitar is no different from playing an electric guitar for the most part when it comes to learning the basics. The only difference is that one is electrically powered and the other is not, so there will be different sounds made when you stroke the chords to each. When you learn to play the acoustic guitar there are certain things you will want to know to make your education smoother. These learning curves are not hard; you can get the hang of them really quickly and be on your way to learning to play the acoustic guitar.

Listen to some online sound files to get your tuning in order:

You can listen to some online sound files to help you get your tuning in order. There are many online sites that have sound files you can practice tuning your guitar to. The idea is to go along with the sound file until you know how to tune your guitar just right. You can find these files by doing a simple internet search. Most of the time the sound files will be in the basic acoustic format so you will be able to tune your guitar the right way without trying to do anything fancy to it.

Practice chord progression for playing songs:

Practicing chord progression will be good tutoring for helping you learn to play the acoustic guitar. You will usually get a good lesson in this when you begin to play songs on the guitar. It is really easy as all you are doing is simply playing a sequence of chords that make a certain sound when they are played in conjunction with each other. Practicing chord progression will make it easier for you to play some of the more complex stuff later down the line. So take extra care to practice this until you have it down.

Make sure you have good tutoring for learning rhythm variations:

Even if you decide to use an online tutoring service you should make sure the tutor is advanced enough that they are able to teach you good rhythm variations so you can get into the feel of playing songs on your acoustic guitar.  Playing songs after all is what you’re trying to do right?  Ultimately you will have to have a little rhythm to play them correctly. So practice different rhythm variations on your guitar and make sure you have someone there to offer you feedback.

Getting good acoustic guitar tutoring will help you to become a good guitar player in no time. Just remember what I said.  Listen to some sound files online for tuning your guitar correctly, practice playing chord progression for various songs, and make sure you have a good tutor to teach you some good rhythm variations so you will be able to adjust yourself to different music as you go along.
